TURKISH STYLE COFFEE SESAME RINGS ​

INGREDIENTS

300g plain flour

10g dried yeast

5g caster sugar

20g oil

5g salt

340g Bickford’s Iced Coffee Syrup

100ml water

120g sesame seeds

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat the oven to 210°C
  2. Mix the yeast, sugar and 250ml warm water and allow to foam
  3. Combine 300ml iced coffee syrup and water in a bowl and set aside
  4. Place the sesame seeds in a bowl and set aside
  5. In a bowl, add the flour and salt then the yeast mix and oil and knead together to form a soft dough
  6. Cover and set aside to double in size
  7. Divide the dough into 8 even balls and roll into a long sausage. Fold in half and twist together and stick the ends together forming a circle
  8. Dip each ring into the iced coffee syrup and then roll in sesame seeds and place on a lined baking tray
  9. Bake for about 15 minutes until golden and crispy on the outside
