Cherry Syrup
Ingredients
- 1 cup Bickford’s Pure Cherry 100% Juice
- 1 cup sugar (equal parts)
- Optional:½ cup fresh pitted cherries
Method
- Combine the cherry juice and sugar in a medium saucepan. If using fresh cherries, add them now.
- Cook over medium-to-low heat for 20–30 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent sticking or burning.
- The syrup is ready when it coats the back of a spoon. To test, carefully draw a line through the syrup on the spoon with your finger. If the line stays clean and the syrup doesn’t run back together, it’s ready.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Serving Suggestions
- Drizzle over pancakes, waffles, or crepes
- Pour over ice cream or cakes for a rich, indulgent topping.
- Add to sparkling water or soda for a refreshing homemade cherry soda.
